Deacon Elections for 2021
Deacon Election is the process by which the church body of Emmanuel nominate and vote on members to become part of the Deacon Ministry Team. This team serves the church by working alongside ministerial leaders so that they can focus on the ministry of the Word. The biblical qualifications for these members are identified in Acts 6:1-7 and 1 Timothy 3:8-13. Emmanuel also has the following requirements for the Deacon Nomination:
· Nominations must come from church members only
· Nominees must be a member of at least 1 year
· Nominees must be 28 years or older
Nominations will be accepted until October 10th. After which the Deacon Ministry Team will review the names given, compile a list, and bring them to the church body for a vote.
