EASTER AT EMMANUEL

Easter is a time where we, as Christians, remember Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and celebrate His resurrection. It is our hope that you would feel welcome in celebrating Easter with all of us at Emmanuel Baptist Church. If you are not comfortable with public services at this time, we have easily accessible content and livestreams for those wishing to attend from their homes.

Lenten Lights 8-Day Devotional: The Lenten Lights 8-Day Devotional is available on campus and digitally below. Beginning on March 27, this church-wide devotional is designed to walk each of us through the gospel story and the hope we have in Jesus, our Savior. This devotional also includes family-friendly discussions and questions designed to facilitate at-home discipleship.

The Easter Story Holy Week for Children: Parents can pick-up The Easter Story activity packets now on campus. This Holy Week activity is designed for preschoolers and younger elementary students to help them understand and experience the gospel in fun and tactile ways.

Family Photo Opportunities: Saturday, April 3, and Sunday, April 4, there will be two locations on campus for families to take photos together. Gather with your group outside in the common area between all three buildings or inside the foyer of Discovery Park. Use the #EasteratEmmanuel hashtag when posting online so we can see your amazing memories!

Overflow Seating: During any of the Easter services on April 3 or 4, overflow seating is available in the Student Room inside the Worship Center building.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We are thrilled you are considering joining us to celebrate this Easter at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Here are a few items you might like to know before you arrive.

CAMPUS
Finding your way around a new place can be daunting, but we want to help you feel comfortable right away! There are three buildings on campus: Discovery Park (preschoolers), Hangar 252 (elementary), and the Worship Center (adults and teenagers). You can ask anyone wearing a lanyard or holding a door and they will be happy to help you find where you want to be.

PARKING
Parking is available in front of and to the side of the church. Extra parking, especially for families with preschoolers, is available behind Discovery Park. There will be volunteers on campus to help you find a space!

CHILDREN’S AREAS
Parents can check their children into Discovery Park (preschoolers) or Hangar 252 (elementary) at the front counter in each area. Parents will be given a card or a sticker with a special code. That code will be needed when picking up your child after the service.

Easter is when many people are more receptive to an invitation to church than any other time of the year. It is a perfect opportunity to present the gospel to someone who has never heard. With that in mind, we could use your help in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests this Easter weekend.

PRAY
Begin praying over our Easter services and ask the Holy Spirit to work powerfully in the hearts and lives of all that attend. Pray that the message of salvation through the gospel of Jesus Christ is heard and received by all.

INVITE
Prayerfully and personally invite someone to join you during the service you plan to attend.

PROMOTE
Share EBC’s Easter post onto your own social media page or give invite cards to friends and neighbors.

MAKE ROOM
Park as far from the building as possible to make room for guests. Consider attending the 6:00 p.m. service on Saturday, April 3, so that seating will be available for guests during Sunday’s 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. services. Consider sitting in overflow seating located in the Student Room to allow more room for guests. Choose seats closer to the front and in the center of rows to make it easier for guests to find a seat.

WELCOME
Our Connections Team greets guests every week and they are well-prepared—but if you happen to notice someone looking a bit lost, please take the time to introduce yourself, welcome them, and escort them to the place they are trying to get to. You may be the first person on campus they meet, and it could be their first time in a church …ever!

SERVE
Volunteer to serve during one or more services in any of our ministry areas. You can volunteer by sending an email to questions@ebccrestview.com or by filling out this form.

  • Try to wear your Connections Team, All-In [This Together], or other EBC related shirt to help guests identify someone who may be able to help them.
  • Look for the volunteer parking area located at the rear of the campus property.
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled service time so area leaders can know you are ready and have your area covered.

Thank you so much for helping make this Easter at Emmanuel the best yet!

WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW MORE?

Would you like to know more about salvation or have you made a decision to follow Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? We want to come along side you and support you!

GOD’S LOVE FOR YOU IS SO GREAT

He has gone to great lengths to restore your relationship and bring you back to Him. The key to restoring this relationship and experiencing God’s redemption is not based on anything that you can do for yourself but rather by embracing what God has already done for you through the life, death, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Walking in a right relationship with God and truly experiencing the life and salvation that only He can bring begins with:

ADMITTING

Admit that you are forever separated from a Holy God because of your sin. Understand that you are dead in your sin and unable to rescue yourself.

“There is no one righteous, not even one.” Romans 3:10

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

BELIEVING

Believe that Jesus Christ is truly the Son of God and through His death on the cross our sin was paid for, making a way for us to come to God. By believing in Jesus you receive His gift of forgiveness and grace.

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23

COMMITTING

Confess your sin and turn to Jesus as both your Savior and Lord—recognizing that He alone is where life is found. Commit to His Lordship and leadership of your life by surrendering to Him.

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” John 14:6

By His grace, we turn from our sin and ourselves.

“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.” Acts 3:19

By His grace, we trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord.

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” Romans 10:9-10

Take time right now to pray through these areas of your life admitting your need for Jesus, believing that He is who He says He is and submitting to His Lordship by confessing and surrendering your life to Him.

We would love the opportunity to walk alongside you as you pursue your Next Steps knowing that you were never meant to do this alone.

At the end of the service, counselors will be available to speak with you about becoming a follower of Jesus or what God is doing in your life. On campus, you can speak to someone down front or in the Prayer Room. If you prefer, click the Respond to Jesus button below or text “Connect” to (850) 895-9749.
